About Nova Labs Youth Robotics program

At Nova Labs Robotics, we believe robotics is a team sport for the mind. Through FIRST programs for students from elementary through high school, young people work together to take on a new challenge each season. They learn to design, build, and program robots, then put their ideas to the test at competitions.

No prior robotics experience is needed. Students learn alongside teammates and volunteer coaches/mentors by asking questions, trying ideas, and improving what they build. There’s a place on the team for many interests and strengths, from coding and mechanical design to research, strategy, and presenting.

Like any sport, robotics takes practice, teamwork, and persistence. Students celebrate successes, work through setbacks, and discover what they can accomplish together. We build robots, but the lasting result is a community of confident thinkers, leaders, and problem solvers.
