About Nova Labs Youth Robotics program

At Nova Labs, we believe robotics is a team sport for the mind. Through FIRST programs for students from Grade K to Grade 12, young people tackle a new challenge each season. Together, they design, build, and program robots, then put their ideas to the test at competitions and showcases.

No prior robotics experience is needed. Students learn with teammates and volunteer coaches and mentors by asking questions, testing ideas, and improving their designs. Every team benefits from a range of interests and strengths, including coding, building, research, strategy, and presenting.

Like any sport, robotics takes practice, teamwork, and persistence. Students celebrate successes, work through setbacks, and discover what they can accomplish together. We build robots—and a community of confident thinkers, leaders, and problem solvers.
